Gerrie Jonker

Gerrie Jonker (1964) graduated in 1988 from the conservatory of Utrecht, majoring in recorder. After that, she studied bassoon for a number of years at the conservatory of Zwolle. She played in various orchestras and chamber music ensembles, including the baroque ensemble Apollo, with which she recorded a number of cd's. She recently formed a guitar/bassoon duo together with flamenco-gitarist Annedee Jaeger. La Principal d'Amsterdam got her on board as a flabiolist in 2002. She got flabiol advice from a.o. Jordi León and Marcel Sabaté (both teachers at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya in Barcelona).
