Pieter van Lier
Double-bass
player Pieter van Lier studied with Hans Krul at the Sweelinck Conservatory
in Amsterdam as well as with Peter Luit, Jean Paul Everts, Jim Schulz
and Frans van Hoeven. One can hardly imagine a more versatile bass player.
He performed with the Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Radio Chamber Orchestra,
the North Netherlands Orchestra, the Dutch Ballet Orchestra, the Limburg
Symphony Orchestra, and more. He has been a regular accompanist in theatre
productions of Lenette van Dongen and Marijke Boon. He is a member of
La Principal d'Amsterdam since 1999, but is also spotted regularly in
